Kamchatka: Bury your roots
05/08/11 || Lord K Philipson
“Kamchatka are a Swedish power trio highly influenced by late 1960s and early 1970s blues-rock bands. Their sound combines elements of blues-rock, stoner rock and psychedelic rock.”
Woohoo! This is what we fucken adore here at GD. Not death metal, not black metal (the Italian kind preferably), not good old Bay Area thrash metal. Oh noes, we fucken looooooooove rock’n‘roll. Especially the one that is influenced by the mighty 60’s and 70’s. Those were the days, people.
To be completely serious for a minute: this fucken type of music blew back then and still blows when it’s baptized in its 2011 version. So what if these idiots do their thing all well and bla bla bla… The core of it all is that I fucken hate this weak sauce bullshit.
Take your jeans, your weak production and dull material and leave GD the fuck alone.
3/10: Rock’n‘roll is dead. Long live Vomitory. And Blümchen. And Alice DeeJay. And Vanessa Carlton. And The Prodigy.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
